Henry grew up in Lewisham, South London. As a child, Henry had never read a chapter book until age eleven, where he discovered Ark Angel by Anthony Horowitz. After reading the entire book in four days, he decided he wanted to become a storyteller in his own right. Henry studied English at Brunel University. It was at Brunel, Henry discovered poetry. Inspired by the literary talents of poets George Mpanga and Theresa Lola and the lyrical dexterity of rap/grime icons such as Eminem and Kano, Henry began performing poetry around universities, combining poetry with musical landscapes inspired by hip-hop, grime and comedy. This culminated in writing and directing “Black Inferno”, his first ever project. He followed up with “The Lost Year” which touched on the effects of the pandemic in 2020.

Black Inferno led to him being described by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as a “British trailblazer challenging prejudice” in the UK. Henry later began working with brands on projects which focused on discrimination, social inequality and mental health. In 2019, Henry worked with George the Poet on the Peabody-Award Winning audio-project “Have You Heard George’s Podcast?”. Henry was also commissioned by the International Tennis Federation to create videos for their Olympic and Paralympic campaigns for Tokyo 2020. Henry’s talent and diverse skillset has allowed him to thrive in the realms of marketing, publishing and video content. Henry’s ability to captivate audiences through storytelling has led him to perform on stages across the UK, including Sony Music HQ, HSBC and dozens of universities.
